Hisbalit takes part for the third consecutive year in Appartamento Spagnolo, one of the most relevant exhibitions of contemporary Spanish design within the framework of Milano Design Week 2026.
Organized by ICEX under the Interiors From Spain brand, in collaboration with Elle Decor Italia and the Milan-based studio Studiopepe, the installation takes place from April 20 to 26 at the iconic Palazzo Castiglioni, as part of the Fuorisalone program, running alongside Salone del Mobile.
During Milano Design Week, Milan becomes the leading international meeting point for architects, interior designers and industry professionals, establishing itself as a key platform to discover the latest trends in architecture, interior design and materials.
Spanish design at the forefront of Fuorisalone
Appartamento Spagnolo brings together 22 Spanish brands from the habitat sector in an immersive installation conceived as a space for inspiration, where architecture, interior design and contemporary design converge.
Curated by Elle Decor Italia and designed by Studiopepe, this year’s exhibition presents a fluid and sensory environment. A sequence of organic, enveloping spaces redefines the domestic experience through materiality, light and form.
Materiality and curves: mosaic as an architectural element
Within this journey, Hisbalit is featured in the Sala Sommaruga, where a curved wall is clad with Doppel 574 mosaic in a deep chocolate brown tone.
This intervention highlights the ability of mosaic to adapt to complex geometries, enhancing the fluidity of the space and reinforcing architectural continuity. The surface, defined by the rhythmic repetition of its rectangular format, brings depth, warmth and a calm material presence that dialogues with the overall color palette.
The Doppel collection, characterized by its 1:2 proportion and matte finish inspired by natural stone, helps create an immersive atmosphere where geometry and texture take center stage.
An international showcase for Spanish design
The exhibition is held at the historic Palazzo Castiglioni, one of the most representative buildings of Milanese Art Nouveau, located on Corso Venezia in the heart of the design district.
Appartamento Spagnolo has become one of the most prominent events of Fuorisalone, attracting thousands of international visitors each year, including architects, interior designers, specifiers and specialized press.
Through its participation, Hisbalit reinforces its position as a leading brand in eco-friendly glass mosaic design, capable of adapting to new architectural languages and contributing to the creation of spaces where materials do not simply cover surfaces, but define, connect and transform them.
